Travel Bucket List

I LOVE travel. It's one of the biggest passions on my heart. I love history and architecture and learning. I love landscapes and scenic views. I love culture and immersion. This list is helpful for me so I have my list handy whenever we make travel plans.

Here's the top places I want to travel to. Have you been to any? What's on your list?

Travel Bucket List:

I would like to travel to all 50 states. A big road trip would be awesome but my top 5 states would be: New York, Colorado (Grand Canyon especially, along with some skiing/snowboarding), California, Hawaii, & Alaska (preferably on a cruise- Northern Lights, glaciers, & awesome wildlife and landscapes, yes please.)

I would love to visit all of Europe, maybe with the aid of a train/Eurail or a Mediterranean cruise. But the first country on my list is: Italy- SO MANY AMAZING CITIES: Pompeii, Naples, Florence, Rome, Sicily, Venice, Tuscany, Milan, Verona, Cinque Terre, & the Amalfi coast. Wine tours, beaches, the culture, history, & architecture- I would be in heaven!

Greece- Crete, Athens, & Island hopping. All the beautiful scenery, beaches, culture, history & architecture would be fantastic.

Great Britain- I want to go EVERYWHERE in England. EVERYWHERE. Possibly pop down to Whales or over to Ireland. But I also want to see the castles in Scotland & Northern Ireland. And find any towns loaded with culture, especially Highlander & Celtic history.

Australia- They have so many different terrains and attractions. I'd want to see the wildlife, go whale watching, visit the National parks, beaches, the Great Barrier Reef, the Sydney Opera house, the Great Ocean Road...the list goes on.

Russia- I think their cathedrals are so cool. And I'm fascinated by the story of Anastasia. Moscow is the city I'd want to visit most.

Scandinavia- Includes Denmark, Norway, & Sweden & sometimes Iceland, Finland, & Faroe Islands- It's a good spot to catch the northern lights. I'm fascinated by vikings and they have a lot of history and museums here. Top cities would be Stockholm, Copenhagen, & Hoyvika Beach in Andøya.

Egypt- Cairo, The Red Sea, The Pyramids of Giza (the last ancient world wonder) & the Great Sphinx. Visit the beach & enjoy a camel ride. Soak in all the history and culture.

Cape Town, South Africa. I've been to South Africa, but a very rural part on a mission trip (click here to read about that). We were able to go on a safari and I definitely wouldn't mind doing that again. In Cape Town there are beaches, mountains, penguins, shark cage diving opportunities, safari opportunities, the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, and more. Cape Town has beautiful weather and gorgeous landscapes.

I would also love to hit all the modern wonders of the world, which if you follow that link you'll see many lists based on type, so I'll make up my own based on what I want to see. The ones already mentioned would be Stonehenge, the Colosseum in Rome, & the Leaning Tower of Pisa. So then I'll add Machu Picchu (Peru), the Great Wall of China, Christ the Redeemer (Brazil), Niagara Falls (Canada), and Petra (Jordan) to the list. I've been to the Taj Mahal which is beautiful (click here to read about that). Natural wonders on my list are Grand Canyon, Great Barrier Reef, & seeing the Northern Lights; all of which are listed above.
