Book Recommendations for Middle Graders

My friend is a teacher for a middle school and asked for a list of books that would be suitable on her classroom bookshelf. So if you’re in a similar situation or need book recommendations for your own kids, here’s a list of ones I’ve read. I’ll also list ones that are typical curriculum for middle graders, and some that are popular but that I haven’t read.
